A very small percentage of customers experience dissatisfaction with the Seiko shaver. In almost every case this is down to incorrect usage! We have sold thousands of Cleancut shavers to ecstatic customers and it remains one of our most applauded products.

Why am I not getting a close shave with my Seiko Cleancut?

There can be a number of reasons for poor performance:

1) The most common problem being that pubic hair is simply too long for the Cleancut to shave. It has to be stubble length and no more! You must use a good trimmer like the Remington Bikini Trimmer or a pair of safety blade scissors.

2) The skin around the pubic area may be sweaty or contaminated by an oil based product like a moisturiser. You must ensure that your skin is thoroughly clean and dry.

3) Your Seiko Cleancut may need cleaning. The blades should spin freely and the motor should be smooth. Problems often occur due to lack of adequate maintenance after use. The blades should be cleaned and then oiled with a good oil like Wahl Oil after every use.

How to get the best results from your Seiko Cleancut

The Cleancut shaver must be used after trimming long hairs - this is the reason we recommend customers purchase one of the trimmers we sell (e.g. the shavy femini or Remington). When used in accordance with instructions (and in particular after trimming long hairs), the shaver performs superbly. REMEMBER that the shaver on trimmed, stubble length hair.

Seiko prides itself in the quality and performance of this product. Try shaving using the following guidelines:

• Ensure that the skin is free of all moisturizers and rich soaps and that it is dry.

• Trim any long hairs to stubble length.

• Apply a light layer of talc or corn starch to the area to be shaved. Women should avoid getting any talc inside the sensitive areas of the vagina as it can cause irritations.

• Hold the skin taught and begin shaving in small, slow circular motions.
